Enhanced Community Outreach - ECO

Pilion Trust has been commissioned by the Multi Agency Geographical Partnership Initiatives in Islington to work alongside the SNT and Safer Neighbourhood Teams across the Borough supporting vulnerable people who are rough sleeping and have substance misuse issues and cannot access treatment.

PREMIER LEAGUE - 'Creating Chances'

Barclays Bank in connection with the Premier League Football Clubs, announced on the 31 July 2007, that Arsenal Football Club chose the Pilion Trust as one of the charities/ good causes to support.

Arsenal Football Club were particularly impressed with the application and the work that the Pilion Trust has been involved in supporting homeless people with Drug and Alcohol and Mental Health issues improve their quality of life by reducing or stopping their drug and alcohol use.

In the last 6-months over 26 people have engaged in treatment pathways and are no longer using or dependant on drugs and alcohol.

The award is a grant of £ 2,000.00 for the Pilion Trust to use on publicity and promotion of their work.

Well Mens Clinic - Good Health is Wealth

This weeks EC1 Ne Deal Well Men's Clinic will be held at St. Luke's Centre, Central Street EC1, from 1:30pm and goes on to 3:30pm.

So, if you are a male aged between 18 and 50 and would like a health check and information about GP practises and Islington Services please come down and speak to one of the Team.

The service is a private and confidential one and the assessment takes about 20mins.
